Who is GradeCheck for?

GradeCheck was designed with two groups in mind. Students who want to check their work before submitting it — instead of waiting days for teacher feedback, you get an objective AI-generated estimate right away, helping you spot weak arguments, thin evidence, and structural problems while there is still time to fix them. And teachers and tutors who want a quick second opinion or a starting point for grading. GradeCheck does not replace teacher judgment — it supports it.

One of the biggest challenges when grading internationally is that every country uses a different scale. A student from Denmark gets marked on the 7-trinsskala (from -3 to 12), while a student in Germany is graded on a 1 to 6 scale where 1 is the best result. In the United States, the letter grades A through F map to a 0 to 4.0 GPA. In France, everything runs on a 0 to 20 scale.

GradeCheck supports more than 190 national grading systems. You select your country — or your institution's specific system — and the AI grades your work on that scale. There is no generic percentage output. The grade you see is the grade your teacher would actually give.

How the grading works

GradeCheck uses a large language model trained on academic writing across many subjects and educational levels. When you submit your work, the AI evaluates it on the same criteria your teacher would use: relevance and focus, quality of argumentation and evidence, structure and coherence, and clarity of language and expression. The result is an estimated grade on your country's scale, plus a short written breakdown of strengths and areas for improvement.

Free to use, no account required

The core grading feature is completely free. You do not need to create an account or enter any personal information to get a grade. Simply paste your text, choose your country, and click grade. Free users get a set number of gradings per week. A paid Student plan is available for unlimited access and priority processing.
